Strengthening Immunization Efforts: PAIC and ACIC’s Achievements Over Three Years

The Pennsylvania Immunization Coalition (PAIC) is a 501©3 non-profit organization. In 2021, PAIC, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, received 3 years of COVID-19 relief funds from the PA Department of Health. PAIC, over the last three years, has been distributing funds to local immunization coalitions and partner organizations across Pennsylvania.

 These funds have been used to educate the public about COVID-19 vaccines. The grantees have been present in their communities, meeting people where they meet and where they are. They have hosted events with other organizations in their communities or just been staples as trusted messengers. They intertwine themselves into their communities, whether with other partner organizations that the communities trust or simply being present at various events. This has had a lasting impact on organizations and education about vaccines.

This funding has been a window of opportunity to distribute accurate information about COVID-19, and its impact is seen in the grantees’ reports.
